Quiet Traveler Privacy Policy

Overview

Quiet Traveler is a one-time paid sleep companion. It is designed to run without an account, ads, third-party analytics, or a developer server in v1.

Data Collection

Quiet Traveler v1 does not collect data from the app to a developer server.

The app may store sleep records locally on your device so it can show recent trends and morning reviews. This local information is not sent to us in v1.

HealthKit

If you grant permission, Quiet Traveler can read selected HealthKit data such as sleep analysis, heart rate, resting heart rate, and heart rate variability. This data is used on your device to help build your nightly sleep summary.

Quiet Traveler v1 does not write HealthKit data. HealthKit data is not used for advertising, marketing, or third-party data mining.

Microphone

Microphone access is optional. If you grant permission, Quiet Traveler can process local microphone levels to estimate possible snore events.

Quiet Traveler v1 does not store raw audio. It only stores derived event metadata such as approximate time, duration, loudness, and confidence. Possible-snore events are not a medical diagnosis.

Background Audio

Quiet Traveler uses background audio so sleep soundscapes can continue while your phone is locked.

Tracking and Advertising

Quiet Traveler v1 does not contain ads, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs.

Medical Disclaimer

Quiet Traveler is a sleep companion and reflection tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or prevent sleep disorders. Possible-snore events should not be interpreted as sleep apnea detection.

Changes

If future versions add account sync, cloud storage, analytics, crash reporting with identifiers, support uploads, or server-side features, this policy and App Store privacy answers must be updated before release.
